Outside of formal employment, I have had a few experiences that have been very impactful on my career. I call them side quests.

AI Agency Research

Student Researcher and Developer, 2023-2024

I conducted undergraduate research specifically on AI Agency and how LLMs can help increase access to information across the world. The research was apart of a larger Machine Learning project floodwatch.

YC Summer Conference

Participant, 2023

I have been a longtime fan of YC and some of the stories that come out of the program. Heard some inspiring talks from Emmett Shear and Gary Tan. Also met some other awesome developers and founders.

Netflix

Pathways Bootcamp Student, 2023

I participated in a 3 month program hosted by Netflix. We learned some of the tools and services that Netflix uses. At the end of the three months, I flew out to the Los Angeles office and got to hear from some amazing members of "The Dream Team". This was my first glance at the Netflix culture.

Jane Street

FOCUS Fellow, 2022

I participated in a three day program hosted by Jane Street where I learned about the company and the work they do. The most important thing I took from this was the importance of constantly urging yourself to think critically and really exercising your brain's ability to problem solve.

Bloomberg

Tech Lab Fellow, 2022

I participated in a 4 day program hosted by Bloomberg in their San Francisco office. We learned about the company, some of the tools they used, and many great speakers. A few included the CTO, the head of the SF office, and other engineering managers.
